• Senior Secondary or its equivalent (50% marks) and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
• Senior Secondary or its equivalent (45% marks) and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.OR
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) (50% marks) and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed). OR Senior Secondary or its equivalent (50% marks) and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
• Graduation (50% marks) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
• Who has acquired the qualification or Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as a primary teacher”.

• Graduation (50% marks) and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).OR
• Graduation (45% marks) and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
• Senior Secondary or its equivalent (50% marks) and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed). OR
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) (50% marks) and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
• Graduation (50% marks) and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*. OR
• Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Program recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.

• STEP 2: Go to the link “Apply Online” and open the same.
• STEP3: Fill intheOnline Application Formand note down Registration No./Application No.
• STEP 4: Upload latest ScannedPhotograph and Signature
• STEP 5: Pay Examination Fee by debit/credit card and net banking. The candidates must note that the examination city of their choice will be allotted on the first come first served basis only as per availability of capacity in the city of examination. The candidates, who complete the online application process and pay the fee on first come first served basis, will be allotted the examination city of their choice as per availability in that particular city. The total capacity in a particular city will also be available on the portal. If the total capacity of a particular city is full during completion of application process or making payment of examination fee or updation of transaction on portal, the candidate will be given the option either to select any other city of examination or cancel the transaction. If a candidate cancels the transaction, full fee will be refunded to his /her account as per mode of payment and application will not be considered for this examination of CTET. The request for change of examination city will not be accepted in any case.
